I've been suffering since mid July but had 2 or 3 weeks respite when it disappeared. Its been back the past 2 weeks. I thought it had got better yesterday but I woke up in pain.

Is it more likely to be stress/teeth grinding if it comes and goes?

It did seem like an ear infection when it first started. Some days my ear is really tender, other days my ear doesn't hurt at all, just my jaw. Is that normal? Should I ring a gp? I had drops for the original suspected ear infection, which did nothing. Could it still be an infection though?

Same here, but I’ve only been suffering for a few weeks. Don’t understand what’s causing it either. Some nights if I wake then I have mild pain in my jaw if I clench my teeth. Some days no pain. Other days it occurs after eating and my ear feels full and pain radiates from there down into my jaw. I don’t have a history of teeth clenching or grinding but it’s weird!
