I have name-changed for this as it is quite outing.
Found a lump in left breast. GP referred me to consultant. He thought it was calcification - had mammogram and ultrasound, during which they found lump in right breast. Did a core needle biopsy on the spot. Called a week later to say that was fine but after reviewing they thought they needed to biopsy the left breast as well. Had that ten days ago - a different type of biopsy (not sure of name) and 22 samples taken.
Today I got a call booking me in for an appointment with the consultant on Friday. The lady was in admin and said she couldn't give me any results. I just wondered if, given the current Covid situation, consultants are delivering good news face to face, or if it's only bad news that gets an appointment? I was called to say the last biopsy was ok, so why not a call for this one if it is good news?
I am going a bit crazy worrying and would appreciate any advice anyone can give.
