I had this nearly 20 years ago. I had internal bleeding, anaemia, chest pains and hair loss. It wasn't much fun. I had triple therapy which I am not sure worked. I now take a supplement that I discovered myself, and it does help a lot.

How were you diagnosed please Barbara, were you in a lot of stomach pain, did they find ulcers

DD was diagnosed with this in June, after months of nausea and vomiting. She had a breath test. She has completed 2 rounds of antibiotics plus Zoton, and whilst she's improved is still not fully back to normal. I think the infection was quite severe.

She hasn't had an endoscopy so far, so we don't know about ulcers, but I would suspect there have been and are hopefully healing.

Reason I’m asking is I’m having really bad pressure pain in stomach, and reflux awful nausea 24/7 hard to swollow food, so I’m going to ring drs first thing on Tuesday, I do suspect I could have ulcer but obviously don’t know, but then I read about this bacteria

My dad had helicobacter pylori. Unfortunately the fucking idiot just ate indigestion tablets like they were sweets, never went to the dr, got painkillers in France, without any proper tests. Came home, saw a chiropractor for his back, still didn't see a dr.
Unfortunately it ended up being cancer. I read his post mortem.
I think you definitely need to see your dr and push for every test known to womankind.

I'm sorry if that's scary. Its just my experience. I dont want anyone to go through what we did.

barbrahunter · 31/08/2020 16:20

@CambsAlways My gp suspected it after I was anaemic and I had an endoscopy which gave me a positive test result.

I actually didn't have stomach pain beyond a kind of pins and needles sensation in my stomach.
