What can I take to get bowels moving? Haven't been since Friday and I'm at home now on painkillers
Any remedies?

Over the counter laxatives or ask your gp to prescribe, the meds in hospital and anything coedine or morphine based will cause constipation.

Plus lots of fluids and try eating apples and high fibre foods.

You want to get a stool oftener rather than a laxative. Lots of water and if you can go for a walk.

Lactulose from the pharmacy. It’s a safe laxative that’s given in hospitals post operations.

Definitely lactulose. Very safe and used in pregnancy.
