Any ideas? Foot pain

I’m a reluctant GP visitor so hoping someone has the answer

For 3 or 4 weeks now I’ve had foot pain. Doesn’t get noticeably worse on exercise nor better with rest. I’m still working and walking 3k but it’s starting to get annoying. First thing in the morning I’m a bit limpy but it quickly settles enough
It hurts to rotate my foot outwards (like turning a palm over) and my big toe aches. After a hot soak, my big toe felt like it was going to cramp but never did.

Any ideas?

Gout ? Arthritis ? If the pain is more of a tingly sensation, maybe extends to the top of your foot could be sciatica from ongoing disc issue....

Plantar fasciitis maybe? If it's that, you need to stretch the sole of your foot. You can find exercises online. A foot roller helps.

I think I’m too young for gout and arthritis? I’m 33

I did wonder if it was plantar facitiis but it doesn’t seem to be I’m the right place ?

Are your shoes new - not exactly new but you now have shoes with a different brand or different type , like may be switched from jogging to running shoes. If your big toe is hurting then may be you need a wider fit in the brand. Also if your shoe is very old then maybe you don't have enough sole/arch support.
If the problem is with the shoe then an ortholetic sole might help (available from Amazon and not expensive). You can also buy supported socks (arch and heel support) from Primark.
For the pain itself - use ibuprofen gel.

are you pregnant/recently pregnant?

what kind of shoes are you wearing?

do you take vit d3?

Morton’s neuroma affects round your toes, have a look at the symptoms online.

Not pregnant or been pregnant
Wear a lot of sketchers or walking boots but worn those for a long time and the pain is generally ok in shoes and greater in bare feet. Not taking vitamin D

Will check out Morton’s neuroma
