I was wondering if anyone with thyroid issues could help...

Do your symptoms change with your menstrual cycle?

I have an under active thyroid and there are some days when my symptoms are worse than others. I'm trying to track if it has anything to do with my cycle.

Has anyone managed to do this?

Hi op.

I don't actually have a thyroid as had it removed years ago due to being so over active it was dangerous and no amount of medication would bring my levels back to normal.

I take thyroxin daily and yes yes yes to your question of whether your menstrual cycle can and does affect your levels.

Very much so.

Have you tried health unlocked uk?

They have a great forum full of useful advice and others in exactly the same situations.

I found taking extra vitamins made a difference to how my body absorbed the thyroxin and stayed a lot more stable throughout however I still get a dip when my cycle changes.
