I'm in my late 20s and for the last 10 years I've been dealing with acne, hair loss, excess hair (despite waxing and plucking, I've now paid for laser hair removal).
I had a good skin during my teen years and very thick hair. When I was about 18 I started getting horrible acne, it came overnight. My hair started falling and thinning too. Always had excess hair but thought it was normal.
My doctor at the time ruled out PCOS as I'm not overweight, and put me on the pill. Went off the pill and got acne back and copious hair loss but managed to conceive my children. Now my youngest is about 1 and I have acne and thinning hair again. I'm feeling really embarassed to go out, and called my GP who booked me for blood tests in Mid- September and prescribed a cream for my acne.
I'd love to hear some of your experiences, especially if you have PCOS but don't suffer from weight gain. Is there any pill that could help?
