Should I take him to the drs or not? Is it normal for a headache to last that long? He's had calpol but said it still hurts.

Ds2 has chicken pox if that makes any difference.

He could be coming down with chicken pox-but it is unusual for a 3 year old to complain of a headache for that long. Does he have a temperature? I would get him checked if I were you.

My Dd(7) has had a virus for the past few days, the main symptoms of that were a headache, she also was achey and had a high temperature.
I just gave her calpol and nurofen and she laid about alot.

There are some very nasty bugs going round at the mo, including D&V. My kids have had it and me and DH have had it. We all got quite bad headaches too, so it might be worth a trip to the docs if it still hasn't gone.

If the calpol isn't working I would go to the docs, chances are it's a virus (there are loads going around) but I would get his ears checked just in case it's anything to do with them.
DD1 is off with an ear infection at the moment and has complained of headaches.

Hope he gets better soon x

Thanks. He does has a temp so I kept him off pre school. It was 37.8 this morning which isn't too high but it's still a temp. I'll give the drs a call.

Or it could be sinuses. My DS2 often complains of a headache when his sinuses get infected.

Thanks again. Waiting for the dr to call back now so will see what they say, probably nothing but I'd rather see that the dr thinks especially as it's the weekend tomorrow.
