My son age 13 has a serious ingrown big toenail. It was so bad I took him to a and e because go refused to see him face to face. The doctor there saud he needed it removed urgently but podi
podiatry services are closed. What am I supposed to do he is in agony and it is bleeding everywhere.
I enquired privately and it is a few hundred pounds. If private podiatry can work why can't nhs. Sure ly there isn't much risk dealing with feet.
I am at a loss how to sort this out

Any advice please from a foot expert or otherwise

I would bite the bullet and pay privately. Even without Covid, waiting lists for NHS podiatry are horrendous.

We can just about afford it, I will look into a private appointment.

I just can’t believe they would let a 13 yo suffer in pain when it is simple to help. He is also autistic so it is causing extreme distress
