Carpal Tunnel surgery - how much time will I need off work?

I work in retail, spend a lot of time using computers (I mostly work back office in the shop I work in but do sometimes work at the till). Fairly easy to avoid heavy lifting as I can ask other staff to help but I will need to be able to unpack new stock.

Anyone who has had the operation - do you think 2 weeks is a sensible amount of time to have off?

Are you right or left handed and which hand is being operated on? I had my left done( right handed) work in an office and was back in work the next day. A job like retail i would reckon 2 weeks would be plenty of time
