I've had reoccurring UTIs since March and started with lower and middle back pain, needing to wee a lot, no burning or stinging or high temp.
GP did dip test, lots of white bloods cells and tiny trace of blood, so finished course of amoxicillin and thought that was it. Month later same symptoms, this time pain around side of my abdomen GP prescribed diff AB I can't remember the name, a few weeks was feeling better no back pain.
Then 2 weeks ago same back pain GP tested again and said the last results showed that UTI was resistant to last AB so was prescribed trimethoprim for a week which I finished last week, but now a few days later I'm still peeing lots and the same back pain has returned 😣

GP gave normal advice wee after sex, lots of cranberry water etc and also said it's common in women my age(30s) 🤨
also referred me to for a kidney and liver scan but Warned will be months n months.

I just don't understand how I'm doing all I can but they keep coming back, and AB don't seem to be working. I have bad health anxiety and starting to obsess it's something serious

I had this.. What ended up knocking them out was a long term 6 month v low dose of nutrifiriton or something.. It's an antibiotic but can't remember how it was spelt.
It was either that or widening my urethra with a scope... Extreme. Was glad not to go that route.

Aside from that.. Taking d mannose long term is also very effective have you tried it. I know how scary it is when they keep coming back and you start getting resistant to antibiotics. I never thought I'd get mine sorted at the time x

I had recurrent UTIs so my GP lets me have a prescription for nitrofurantoin 100mg and I keep stock indoors and take one after sex or if I feel a UTI coming on . I’ve been doing this for about 18 months and not had a full blown UTI in that time . Prior to that I was getting them every couple of weeks .
