Hi. I was on crutches from very early on for a different condition. Then SPD appeared at about 20 weeks. I was in a very bad way! Had a c-section. Pain from original condition disappeared straight away. SPD pain diminished but didn’t totally go until breastfeeding lessened at about six months. I returned my crutches when baby was six weeks old and the physio was astounded! Particularly as I was baby wearing too! She couldn’t believe the difference in me! Wishing you well x

I had this w second pregnancy. I recommend (that if you can) try Osteopathy. It made a big difference to me. Sadly the physio didn’t help at all really

I've had spd in all three pregnancies, I had crutches the first and second time and it was so bad I couldn't even drive. I felt instantly better after the babies were born though and only felt uncomfortable if I had overdone it it been pushing the buggy uphill. The instant relief when baby arrived was amazing. Third time round it did come on but wasn't as severe, but I had a bigger gap between 2&3.
