Has anyone any tips to soothe scalp psoriasis that are non medical? Using different medicines to treat it has tinned my hair a lot and its so dull and miserable looking now. I know I can Google but if anyone knows anything that's worked on them I would love to hear

I use Betnovate scalp application and have done so for years. I use it sparingly and at the moment I don't use it at all. In the past I used all the recommended shampoos and even stuff for pets which stank. None of them worked really but you'll try anything won't you ?

When you rinse your hair use cool water. It helps somewhat. Tea tree shampoo also cools the scalp

Psoriasis is a living beast. It comes and goes. Betnovate is the only thing which calms mine down unfortunately.

My DH suffers and uses some 2 different kinds of prescription cream but they don't seem seem to work on his scalp.

I recently ordered him some scalp cream by MooGoo and for the first time in years we can see a difference. The redness is calming down and his flaking is starting to slow down. It's early days but to see something having a positive effect is encouraging.

Cocois ointment is the best I have found. After a few applications
it gets rid of the psoriasis and it stays away for ages.
I have had psoriasis for 40 years and tried just about everything.
I found the shampoos eg Polytar ineffective

Cocois ointment did not work for me. It removes dry skin temporarily. I have psoriasis for 35 years.
