my 10mth old ds has a cold and cough so is feeling generally miserable. he is drinking about 20oz of milk a day, but pretty much refusing any solid food or water to drink. therefore his nappies are not very wet at all. he had a temp yesterday but its gone down today. we have been to the doctors (last night) and she seems to think he is ok but i am worried about this dehydration thing now........
he is grizzly and stuff, but not listless and is still trying to attack the keyboard as i type!!!

keep an eye on him
if he is alert and happy then sounds good
with disposables they suck the wee away so well you can't tell how sometimes how much they are weeing
has he drunk/eaten anything today?

he's had a small jar of rice pudding, a chocolate biscotti and a tiny bit of fruit puree, and a few sips of water here and there, plus two bottles of milk. ..

two bottles of milk and sips of water sounds ok
as soon as my DS is ill he goes right off his food and drink
you will find when your DS feels better he will make up for it

obviously if things change, then speak to your GP but he is getting food and drink even if it is less than usual

thanks, we'll see how we go tonight and see the doc again tomorrow if he's any worse
