At the moment I’m anxious , my head is a jumble and I don’t know what’s worth worrying about and what’s not .

Ds2 although he’s 21 has high functioning Aspergers so I handle phone calls for him as he hates talking on the phone and being a typical man does not really look after his health brilliantly either , so it’s mostly down to me still .

Anyway he got made redundant , so possible that his health issues are down to the fact that he’s sat on his bed , on his phone or Xbox pretty much all day , most days .

But ..first off he blacked out after getting up off his bed and then had a few lightheaded episodes while riding his bike . G.P did and ecg and sent him for a heart scan .( all fine) Also referred for more testing at the hospital cardiologist which he has yet to have an appointment for and told not to exercise until
He’s been seen . That was 5 weeks ago .

For the last week he’s been complaining that his eyes feel odd , like they don’t focus properly or something . So , spoke to gp again who said to see the optician and if there wasn’t a cause found and it continues she will refer to neurologist .

Just been to optician . He said he has a slight muscle weakness in one eye and sent him away with exercises and an appointment in 12 months time . I asked if that was the cause and ended up frustrated because he wasn’t giving me a helpful answer . Basically might be might not be to everything I asked .

So , could everything be connected ?
Would muscle weakness cause symptoms just this past 10 days ?
Does he need a neurologist aswell as a cardiologist now ?
Should I just put it down to too much screen time ?
Any help appreciated.

I’d ask to see a neurologist. There is an association between epilepsy and autism.

oh sorry , should have mentioned , he already has epilepsy but only absence seizures . The black out wasn't that though .

Insist he is checked for Myasthenia Gravis, go via GP, Emergency Eye Department/A&E, Neurology.

The blackouts are especially worrying and could be a serious symptom of Myasthenia (Myasthenic Crises).
