Poor DD1 has cold sores-what can I do to help?

When I went to give dd1 [4]her bedtime kiss last night,I was horrified to see that she has got cold sores in both corners of her mouth.

I put sdome Bonjela on them, but she cried & cried because it stung so much.Is there anything else I can use on them,or will they just go away on their own?

I don't know why she's got them,or where from-although half her class plus teacher are away sick ATM,so there are lots of bugs about.

Any advice would be welcome.Thanks.

the essential oil melissa (lemon balm) is excellent in some cream, if you can get hold of some.

also you should increase l-lysine containing foods and decrease l-arginine containing foods but don't ask me what they are, i haven't learnt that yet !!!

L-lysine specifically fights the cold sore virus
