i'm sorry this is really tmi Blush i just went to the toilet, and i'm bleeding from my bum Blush ive been constipated for about 3 days, and bloated but i've been bloated for the last 4 years pretty much, is there a chance this could be anything bad? it's not gushing out but there's a fair amount Sad

What colour was the bleeding? Bright red, brown, black??? Any stinging in your anus, swelling or haemorrhoids? Constipation can cause haemorrhoids. Have you had the 4yrs of bloating investigated? Is constipation normal for you, or out of the blue?

SimplySteveRedux · 18/08/2020 22:14

Colour, yes. And please be aware that it takes a tiny amount of blood to turn toilet bowl water red.

sugagi · 18/08/2020 23:14

@Elouera bright red. no stinging, no clue if hemmoroids, but i think if i had them i'd know about it! i know it's bad but i haven't had the bloating looked at yet Blush i tried elimination diets and anti bloating pills, but no luck 'curing' it yet Sad constipation was out of the blue, but i've just started cutting back the calories to 1300 to lose a few lbs, so i think that's more to do with not eating as much food as usual! it wasn't so much the toilet bowl being red that worried me, when i wiped there was blood, and then it became more and more blood, again not tons and tons but enough to worry me and to make the tissue break iyswim! bleeding stopped eventually, i think it just worried me and i panicked a bit and asked on here after not finding anything on google Blush thank you people for the help Smile

Are you bleeding most of the time or just with bowel movements? If it’s just with emptying your bowels it’s most likely from a tear and so probably nothing to worry about. Seeing as you are constipated it’s most likely the case

Hamm87 · 18/08/2020 23:21

probably a tear if it does not clear up in a few days get ot checked and bloating can be a food intolerance try getting rid of dairy

DramaAlpaca · 18/08/2020 23:21

It does sound like a small tear or piles. It should heal very quickly but see your GP if it doesn't.

AuditAngel · 18/08/2020 23:22

It could be a small fissure (year) or an internal haemorrhoid. You need to get it checked.

MajesticWhine · 18/08/2020 23:25

Speak to your GP. Probably just a small tear but it's important to get it checked out.

nasiisthebest · 18/08/2020 23:36

You don't always feel internal haemorrhoids. It could bd that one is bleeding due to the constipation. You can have it checked out.

Bright red blood indicates something not to high up so the chance of it being sinister isn't that big. Don't worry too much.

thanks everyone! Smile
