Aside from running around after kids, cleaning, shopping etc...

Just interested really.

I have done a lot of power walking over the past 3 or 4 years, between 4 and 8 hours a week when training for an event.
Now recently started swimming regularly 2 or 3 times a week, swimming between 800 and 1500m a time.

Overtiredmum, I think that there are times in your life when you have to accept that you can't fit everything in. I started exercising when Ds2 was about 5 months. I was working part time 3 days a week and looking after the children when I was at home. I used to fit my exercise in during the evenings (but I was lucky not to be working evenings) but that was only about 2-3 days a week. Now, nearly 6 years on both my children are at school and I have a bit more time to myself which is how I manage 6x a week. However there are days when one of the children is sick or something else comes up and the exercise can't happen, that's life.

Posey - thanks! Yeah I've run since I was 12, and county runner since 17. Love it.
