Hi Ladies, new to this forum but I have a question that I’m hoping someone can help me with.

Has anyone had eyelid ptsosis after Botox and if so, what was your experience please?

I decided, at 50, to treat myself to Botox. Never had it before and have wanted to try it for a while. I was so excited to get this done but I haven’t told anyone - not even my hubs (he wouldn’t stop me but he’s not particularly approving of this type of thing)

Initially, results were good, however, I noticed that I could still raise one eyebrow whilst my other eyebrow looked heavy and a bit droopy, and the eyebrow that I could raise that was a bit arched. It looked a bit strange - I contacted my practitioner and at my three week review, she injected over the raised (left) eyebrow to correct / drop it. That was Friday - so 3 days ago. I noticed yesterday my left eyelid was a bit stiff in the morning to open and I’ve had the same this morning - like I have to force it open. I’m convinced this is the start of a ptsosis and I’m going to be left with an eye that I can’t actually open at all (although it opens at the moment).

I picked a Registered nurse from the BACN as I thought this would be safer than using a local beautician but I’m feeling so foolish right now.

Does anyone have any experience of this, and if you did have eyelid ptsosis did it affect your vision (for driving, etc).

Thank you !
