Uti unsure what to do

Had a telephone consultation with GP on Friday am.

The couple of days before I had symptoms of a uti - the usual ones for me - increased urinary frequency and slight irritation of urethra.

Sometimes I've had this and I've sorted it through home care treatment. But Friday morning I went to the loo 4 times in an hour, and with the weekend coming, thought I should ring GP. He prescribed 5 day course of antibiotics. They are coming by Royal Mail, probably tomorrow.

However, I think my symptoms have largely gone since then. But do I a) not take the course 2) take the course as prescribed or 3) ring GP for clarification?

Largely gone isn't the same as gone so I would take the course as prescribed.

Also, if you don't complete the course it can create resilience I.e. the bug may come back more resilient to the ABs because it hasn't been killed off (I think that is the case).

Do feel symptoms a bit more right now. Must be very suggestible to what I'm told
