My toenails naturally grow straight but recently they slant off diagonally on one foot, to the point that the middle nails can cut into the adjacent toe when I walk. Also it feels painful/sore if I press my the nails of my toes down.

Could poor fitting footwear be a cause of this? It’s weird as I’m not sure which shoes of mine would cause this as they all seem to fit fine. Recently I cycle between Air Force, vans, converse, Birkenstocks, heeled sandals and heeled boots, not sure what the offender is!
