After suffering mindnumbing splitting headaches which are so bad it feels my eyeballs are being pushed out, on and off for the last two years, I am seeing the specialist regards the results of the CT Scan this afternoon. Wish me luck.

Just seen this thread - hope all went well with you.

Hi guys. Thanks.

I might need an operation on my nose, as it is bent and narrow on the inside. My sinuses and head is all in the clear.

So, another bout of antibiotics.

Getting allergy testing next.

Not sure what to think about it, as she could not explain my facial pain.

But, no brain tumour, and that is the most important thing!

That must be a relief I hope they find the cause soon though.

ssd · 01/10/2007 18:37

good news then!

flamingtoaster · 01/10/2007 19:00

What great news. Hope you can find the cause of the pain soon.

suedonim · 01/10/2007 20:17

Phew! That must be a weight off your shoulders.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 01/10/2007 20:19

Has anyone mentioned cluster headaches to you Starry? Google and see if it sounds similar.

Treatment is breathing oxygen. Very effective apparently.

StarryStarryNight · 01/10/2007 22:07

Shiny, thanks for that! It seems like it is a possibility. It started after I had meningitis a few years ago, and it has gradually become worse since then, not sure if they are connected. But it feels like my eyes are popping out, and that my eyelids become very heavy, and I just want to go to sleep. I cannot focus, neither my eyes nor my brain, when I have periods like this, I just feel bemuddled, and my memory is diminishing. It is scary. But it is great that there is no tumour there.

very good new that there is no tumour, i think shiney might be right with the cluster headaches.

StarryStarryNight · 01/10/2007 22:56

Thanks onlyjoking, I think Shiny may be on to something, will suggest to GP.
