IBS? Or something else?

Hello, need some advice please. I am 50, possibly going through perimenopause. I have been experiencing period type cramping, but with no bleeding. Often stronger sharper pains. Sometimes related to bowel movements, but sometimes feel that I should go but can't. Also full bladder increases the pain, which is very low and central. Does this sound like IBS? Or something else?
Thank you!

Hi there
I could be reading about me. I’ve had the same symptoms for a few months now. Just like I’m about to come on. That heavy, crampy feeling low down. I’m 47 so we could both be peri. I’ve had bloods, urine sample and smear all clear. The Doctor has referred me for a scan. I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you Ramina! I think it could be IBS. I read up on the causes of pelvic pain, and that fitted my symptoms most closely, but not exactly. Hope your scan is all ok!
