Is this a dental infection?

I have an area of gum that bleeds when I brush my teeth. I am using a cordysl (spelling) equivalent called curasept.

I had a regular 6 month clean at my dentists a few weeks ago. Definitely since then, it didn't bleed as much. It did still bleed when I brushed my teeth but not as heavy.

There is no pain there. I found a white spot on the site. I will put up a picture. I think I saw that before my cleaning but I wasn't too sure. I definitely see it now. My dentist never said anything about that area of gum.

I am not able to notice if its leaking pus. When I press on it, some blood comes out from around that tooth. I can't see pus.

Anyone?

I don't know if I should be making a dentist appointment with this. Its not causing any pain. Definitely the bleeding has decreased since my last cleaning a few weeks ago.

I had similar and it was a gum infection. It would be a good idea to have it checked out.
