how long did adult teeth take to come through in yr kids

DD (aged 6) has been toothless for 6 months now and the adult teeth at front of mouth show no signs of appearing. How long does it take for them to emerge after the baby teeth hace fallen out?

To be honest I cant really say as we were not in that situation with ds. Ds's teeth always seemed to push the others out. DD 5yrs has not lost any yet but others in her class have. Poor thing it sounds a long time to be toothless. Did they come out naturally?
