Delaying period

I'm wondering whether or not to take Norethisterone to delay my period as it clashes with a camping trip - mine are so heavy at the moment I barely manage them at home. Any thoughts? Experiences?
thanks all

I've used norethisterone a few times as my holidays always seem to be when my periods are due.
I have always suffered from very heavy periods and couldn't cope with them when on holiday.
For me they work well apart from feeling like I'm due on the whole time I'm taking them.
They stop the bleeding completely but leave me with slight stomach ache like the days before I'm about to come on.

It's a tricky one!

Some people are totally fine, others (me) who is completely fine with most things didn't get on with it at all. I'm usually quite laid back, but I felt totally furious the whole time I was taking it, weird cramps and a located feeling and then the period from hell the next time. But as I say, some people are completely fine!

A heavy period on a camping trip would also be grim!
