Eye Ointment - how to give it to a 12m old?!?!?!

DD has conjunctavitus (sp?) and Dr has given me antibiotic ointment. How exactly am I supposed to get it in her eye 4 times a day?

Also any tips for bathing the eye? I heard Breast Milk is good, does that still apply now she is older? Or should I just use cooled boiled water?

I thought BFing would stop her getting things like this! I hate Nursery she has been sick with one thing or another for 6 weeks now!

Are you alone or do you have an assistant pinner-downer?

Try to give it during a nap or sleep. Otherwise, think it has to be two person job, one to hold still and one to put the drops in. Haven't heard of breastmilk being suggested to bathe the eye, I always just used cooled boiled water.

Try doing it in the dark, or as dim a light as you can manage.
