HPV vaccine for older boys

My daughter has had her HPV vaccine today and it made me think about my son having it. He is 16. Has anyone else paid for their son to have it? Younger boys now get it as part of the vaccination programme.

I paid for my teenager to have it when he was seventeen. They recommend it is pre any sexual activity because it’s too late if the virus is already present.

It was expensive, he needed three shots because he was older, and they were all 100-150 each. I wanted him to have the same protection as his sister though, and it was worth it to me

Thanks. Yes that is my theory. It's £175 a jab here but it's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things.
Did you just google to find out where to get it from? I have asked my surgery (NHS) but they don't do it.

DS had it privately at age 15. Most private GP services based in private hospitals administer it.

Thanks, I’ll have a search.
