Look at my leg

I caught the edge of my leg with the corner of a shovel. The skin is not broken but it all swollen up around the vein(?) and looks like there is bleeding under the skin. I'm not going to bleed to death am I? While alone in the house with the kids? I've got an ice pack on it. FFS, it's really sore. I'm being a total drama queen, aren't I? I had high hopes for massive progress on a garden diy project while Dh was back at work for the first time since March

That looks sore, did you give it a good clean? You might need a tetanus injection (if they still give them nowadays).

I think you should ask 111 or a pharmacist about that.

I've cleaned it all up and sat with an ice pack on it. The swelling is much less and I have not bled to death. I am so stupidly dramatic. It just swelled up like a balloon all round the scratch and I got such a fright. I don't deal well with blood and injury, but I'm getting better. If Dh had been at home I'd probably have called on him and not even looked at it myself which is just ridiculous.
