DS (4) cut his head in accident this evening. We took him to A&E and they glued the cut. Now we are home it has started to bleed again. What should I do?

Can you call 111 for advice?

nolovelost · 10/07/2020 20:41

Go straight back. This happened to my daughter, they hadn't glued it enough. Ring them first so they're expecting you. I did this and didn't have to wait.

Is it really bleeding a lot or just oozing? I think some oozing can be normal

holymosquito · 10/07/2020 20:44

More oozing than anything. This and a few spots on the pillow.

DD cut her lip & chin last year, glued at A&E and before we left the car park noticed it bleeding again so went back in. The doctor said it was fine and to expect it to still weep & ooze until they morning. If you are worried pop back, tbh I wouldn’t bother with 111.

That definitely doesn't look right, did you go back?

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 11/07/2020 11:25

Put pressure on it, keep presdure on it for 15 minutes or so

Id expect it to still ooze a little. I wouldnt expect it to be pouring with blood.
