Hi

Does anyone know which figure they normally quote as your cholesterol level please.
Although the doctor is ringing me back, the receptionist just read out a whole load of values when I asked what the level was.
I have a feeling they normally quote the "ratio" number but just wondering if anyone medical or otherwise can confirm

Thanks

Thanks @FatherBrownsBicycle, she (the receptionist) did rhyme off all these to me, but what I don't know is, which one is my "cholesterol level" , which one of all these numbers is the value they quote?

I know that 5 and below is a good value for it, just not sure which one they use

Thank you for answering tho :)

Total cholesterol is the one that people tend to think of as their "cholesterol level".

Total cholesterol aka serum cholesterol
