I had my lower wisdom tooth extracted three weeks ago, it was getting better but it has got worse again my jaw and face is really painful and swollen. I am on my fourth day of antibiotics but it is getting worse rather than better. Is this normal?

I’d give it another day with antibiotics and if no improvement try and go back to see someone.
I’ve had two separate wisdom tooth removals, the first was awful and took a long time to recover from.

When you say a long time...how long. The dentist is really uninterested when I ring make me feel I am wasting their time. They wouldn't look at it just said all they can do is prescribe antibiotics, I am not even sure it is infected.

No that's not normal.
A post op extraction infection will happen in the 1st week, not 3-4 weeks later.
Ring your practice again tomorrow first thing.
Are there any retained roots?

The last dentist I spoke to who gave me antibiotics has already said there is nothing more they can do! I assume I will just have to wait and hope it heals eventually but the constant pain is getting me down.
