Asthma

Years ago I was diagnosed with Asthma. In the last 5 years I haven't needed any preventative treatment or salbutamol. About 5 weeks ago it seemed to come back badly, possibly triggered by high pollen count. I am now prescribed Fostair and have had a course of oral steroids. The 5 day steroid course finished yesterday. The night time cough has gone, my peak flow is improved but my chest still feels tight and airway feels inflammed. Have people found that the symptoms continue to improve after a steroid course and the inhaler continued to improve it?

I have asthma and use Fostair regularly.

If your airway feels inflamed it might be a good idea to get checked out to see if you also have acid reflux as well.

@NeverFit thanks for this - I have had a look at the symptoms and think acid reflux may be worsening it. I hadn't even considered the connection.
