child hair won't fall out like baby hair will

Ah, DS was only a few weeks old and had newborn bumfluff hair that stuck to the flakes as they came off (I think Bumbly's baby is v young too so that may happen).

makes more sense twig.

not actually bothered about them looking greasy for a few days... can explain why to teachers and i think theyd cope... but hair falling out might be a bit much for them...

My 2.7 yr old has it but you can't really see it so I just leave it. I have still noticed a tendency for flakes to be accompanied by hair when they fall out though.

You just leave the oil on overnight - so put on before going to bed (not an excess - just as if you were moisturising the scalp). Wash off the next morning.

I think when I did it on DD3, I used a muslin to very gently massage the scalp at the shampoo stage - seemed more efficient that just fingertips, but nowhere near 'picking' (picking could lead to removing healthy skin with resulting pain and risk of infection).

You can use just ordinary baby products - Johnson's Baby Oil (mineral oil), and baby shampoo. No need for the specialist 'cradle cap' shampoo.

dd still has some and she is 5
but you cannot see it.
I've never bothered with doing anything a bit coem sout every time you brush or comb.

FWIW ds2's is disappearing the key I have found is not bathing his head he is 6 mths

ds1 is 13 and I think he was about 7 when all his finally went
