Ovulation Spotting

Hi all,

Little bit worried here. Have namechanged.

I was hoping to find out if ovulation spotting happens to anyone here? Research reckons 3-5% of women experience it.

I have noticed very light spotting (pinky colour) after going to the toilet on the toilet paper. This is happening just over a week after my period finishes.

My last couple of periods, I have noticed more 'clumps' and also times where the flow is really heavy. Before this, the flow was quite steady. I wear pads, not tampons.

Today I have had a smear test and thrush/ STI check. If they come back as normal they will want to do an ultrasound.

The nurse didn't talk much about ovulation spotting. She seemed more inclined to think something was wrong.

A bit of background I am a lesbian, never conceived or given birth, very inactive sexually. I am 35 years old.

Thank you

Hi, I have this. I'm about to go to the GP about it. It's definitely when I'm ovulating. I researched and it suggested it could be a peri menopausal thing (I'm 44) but when I mentioned it to a GP friend she said I need to get it checked out.

I have spotting around ovulation time. I also have a fibroid which, for me, has meant heavy periods and large clots. This started when I was 40. try not to worry ☺

I spot around ovulation! Went to GP and she said this was perfectly normal. In the end it was related to my cervical ectropian which is also not an issue at all. Try not to worry too much.
