Have you ever had a root filling on your teeth?

Got one yesterday and now the tooth irs VERY SORE especially to press down on.
Is this nornal?
SHould I be worried or call my very lovely dentist?

Assuming you had the root canal filling for infection/abcess, then it will go on being sensitive to pressure for a little while.

I'd give it a few days to settle down. Are you on anti-biotics?

Don't know - my root filling was done a few years ago - toothache was terrible and I was put on antibiotics so presume it was caused by infection. Take nurofen/paracetamol for the pain and if things don't settle after a few days, I'd go back.

Man u, I've had a root canal and I wasn't put on antibiotics - also seem to remember it feeling tender for a couple of days after. You can always ring the dentist and ask if your symptoms are normal.

Defo tender for a few days - mine was years back and since then I;ve had a crown on the tooth, but still can feel tender when pressed down on especially if eating hard food.

mine was ok after it was done - the only nervy bit was when the temporary dressing was changed and that was not pleasant - my dentist is pretty ace.
