Waiting for results

Does anyone know how long its taking to results from an echocardiogram and 24hr monitor. If they found anything major would they have left it this long, 4wks.
Also if they found anything else sinister in the breast would they have referred me on by now to somewhere else or would i still be seeing cardiologist for results.
I am struggling with anxiety at the moment.

I had an ecg a few years ago for chest pains. While the nurse who did it couldn't give me the results she said that a consultant reviews all ecgs the same day, and presumably anyone with problems would be called back within a day or two.

I think that no news is good news op.

BTW, my chest pains were caused by anxiety. I was rushed to hospital twice with chest pains and it turned out to be severe panic attacks.

Good luck op. If you're worried, can you contact your GP to see if they've had the results or can advise you further?

I had an echo, which is ultrasound of heart and a 24hr ecg monitor. I am worried about them finding anything in the breast are from the scan, for some reason they are adamant to do face to face appointment for results.
Not sure what only telephone appointment if medically appropriate means.
Would they not of sent any results to my gp by now, and if they found anything elsewhere would they still have left me 4 weeks to get results.

Is there any reason why you're worried about your breasts? AFAIK they would only be looking at your heart.
I'm really sure you would have heard something by now if there were any issues.

Why were you referred for an echo / ecg?

Have you called your GP for advice, or can you call the secretary of the cardiologist? They're normally very helpful.

I had the 24 hour ecg last year. It took weeks to get the results back. I phoned up cardiology and they told me that they were meant to have 2 or 3 people doing it FT and they had only one PT. They also told that it is a very difficult job. Can't by too much longer though OP. As others have said, phone hospital to enquire.
