I’m into my 6 month of pretty much constant pain And burning since having two UTIs one after the other in December Which antibiotics didn’t clear. I’ve had a scan which came back clear and my urologist has put me on a low dose antibiotic to stop me getting another UTI. I honestly believe I have some sort of embedded infection, it seems really odd that I’ve been in pain for 6 months after having an infection Which didn’t fully go. All my urine samples after the initial two came back negative and because of this my urologist doesn’t believe its infection related and thinks it’s more ‘bladder damage’ I am due to have a cystoscopy whenever I am allowed one and he has put me on the ‘urgent’ list. I need to have this done to rule out anything suspicious, however I’m so convinced this is infection related and need long term High dose antibiotics. I just don’t know what to do. I’m in SO much pain all the time, I have no quality of life and im missing out on doing things with my children because I can’t do a lot. I’m crying in pain daily. Should I go and see a different doctor? Or just wait for the cystoscopy?
