Pimply rash on 3wk old - could it be heat rash?

My DD has got this small pimply rash on her face round the sides of her eyes and ears predominantly. She doesn't have a high temp - feeding and pooing normally. Plus we live in sth france where it is about 25 degrees here (it's lovely for me!) She doesn't seem fussed though......

could be a heat rash but sounds quite like milk spots, due to huge rushes in hormones after delivery. Can look quite nasty especially if they all worked up.

my DD had this too, and a more experienced friend (she has four) said it's "baby acne" and they all get it. It cleared up within a few days and hasn't recurred since

congratulations on your LO!

Yes, all of mine had it. I found it very difficult not to pop them

They're definitely not milk spots (milia) as she had some of those when she was born) and I can see the difference. This is definitely more like a rash. She only has it on her face though - nowhere else......

infant acne- related to the body dealing with hormonal changes. It passes but best avoid Johnsons type products in the meantime.

My DS had this when he was about two weeks, I was worried about chicken pox as my neice had it and she had been kissing DS a lot, HV told me it was his sweat glands opening up, just keep the skin clean, no soap just water. DS is now 9 months and has infant acne and has spots on his forehead.

my dd had awful red spots all over face and went into white/puss type heads, Dr said dont worry its milk spots dont do anything, that afternoon the HV said oh my that needs some cream its very very dry 'silly olde Dr' her words hmmm I was worried but after washing with clear water and using epaderm emoliient cream it did help with in couple of days, but she had had the spots for 2 wks at this point 4-7wks old. She has light ezcema now and needs epdaderm daily but she looks lovely peachy cheeks now and 6mths old. I dont use any other products on her skin as its obviously sensitive, except water, cotton wool and epaderm cream.
