I was on tip toes earlier and reaching up for something when I felt and heard a pop in my left ankle - at the back. It stung and hurt almost instantly. I rotated my ankle and massaged it for a bit and it's ok now - a bit sore.

Can anyone explain to me what happened? It was quite a loud pop!

Sounds like a ruptured Achilles but if it feels ok now that's unlikely.

I have Achilles tendinopathy and mine sometimes pop and crack but they are not really loud.

Well, it wasn't loud but my bathroom was silent and it was probably louder in my mind🙈

Stung like hell though and feels abnormal now - no pain but odd.
