Hello!
Well i had a test for dd a few weeks ago and someone just called with the results.

measles-not immune

mumps-not immune

rubella-immune (how ironic!!!)

diptheria-not immune

tetanus-not immune

pertussis and polio -she couldn't find the results,
ad got the sharp end of my toungue and was told she'd bloody better find them as we'd payed for them and dd was NOT having another blood test.

I feel SO depressed to find this out that basically none of them even worked and it doesn't instill ANY confidence in me to get the boosters. After all, if the first 20 or so jabs work then how is a booster going to protect her ???

Any views at all???

Blimey, that's bad. How old is your dd and what immunisations did she have? MMR?

Amfs · 12/10/2004 10:31

where did you have jabs done Angeliz .. was it DH2?

I'd be fuming too but unfortunately there's no-one you can blame except for losing the pertussis .. how irritating

(if she had singles has she actually had the mumps jab yet?)

popsycal · 12/10/2004 10:32

you have reminded me that i must book ds's single jabs...been putting it off for ages

Angeliz · 12/10/2004 11:43

She had the singles at Direct Health 2000 and no she hasn't even had the mumps yet which i told the lady when she started giving me results for that!!!!
The other baby jabs she had at my local Docs, they actually said she's low on tetanus and diptheria-still awaiting a call on the other two.
I know that supposedly 10% children need boosters but am still shocked!
If it comes back that she's low on pertussis and polio too, it just makes me wonder why we bother exposing them to all these jabs (and their many unknown ingredients) when our childrens are tiny babies.
Am at such a loss what to do with this new one, and dd now with boosters. I know they'll not give them seperately either (dtp) so it's all or nothing!

O.K, the pertussis and polio takes longer to check, i've found that much out! (Pity the first woman didn't know this to tell me ).
