Painful thyroid

Hi everyone

I’ve been feeling rubbish for a couple of months now and all tests are coming back negative/normal and I just feel I’m being fobbed off!

I had a really sore back 2 months ago, went to the doctors and got some pain killers and muscle relaxers. At the same time I had a UTI which needed 2 courses of antibiotics.

Within a few days I was feeling dreadful, very fluey and a dragging pain in my neck and very sore jaw.

Had an ECG and bloods and all normal so they put it down to reflux from the meds and gave me Omeprazole.

I’ve since been backwards and forwards with so much pain in my throat/neck, radiating to my jaw and cheeks. Have had a few different PPIs but it’s just getting worse.

Had an ultrasound on my neck and they found a nodule on my thyroid. Had a FNA which was absolute agony but apparently it’s harmless and wouldn’t be causing the pain! All bloods were normal so they ruled out thyroiditis.

Anyone have any ideas? I’m in pain or uncomfortable 24/7, have totally changed my diet to be as bland as can be, 40mg rabeprazil daily. I still feel like I have a mild UTI but all urine tests are clear.

I’m really starting to struggle and getting so down about it........
