...that doesn't seem to have disappeared for a full 2 days. He is damp so has probably been very hot since I put him to bed hours ago.

He's 6 and never complains of headaches. Do I need to do anything more than dose him up with calpol/nurofen? Just a teeny bit worried this could be sinister as can't think of explanation for a 2 day headache.

My dd gets headaches when she's tired and/or stressed. The dr told me that often children say headache when they have pain anywhere, because it's a pain they know how to name. I would chech with the dr - but it's probably nothing. ~With dd, it's a sort of safety valve - it's a real pain, but it means she needs to be nome in bed withva teddy bear, rather than doing whatever activity she has lined up!

Thanks. There's certainly every reason it could be stress this week.

He looks poorly and pale and is definitely feverish. It's the fact that he's woken up with it two nights running that bothers me most.

He was desperately thirsty last night and asked for water ALL THROUGH the night!

He never normally wakes until I get him up.

First thing I thought here was that it may be to do with putting the central heating on - ours are up and down getting used to the temperature etc. Headaches can be caused by dehydration.

BUT - keep an eye on him, take him to docs if it's not better during the day.

keep an eye on him, he may have a virus or a touch of flu, bless him, give emergency doc a ring if you're really worried

Thanks again. I'll take him to bed with me tonight so I can keep a closer eye on him.

We've not had the heating on - in fact, windows open. Bit stumped really which is why I'm a little concerned.

We've had a nasty virus here. Headache, fever, vomiting and leg aches were just a few of the delightful symptoms.

The good news is, it only lasted a few days.

It might be sinus pain?

Thanks for replies last night.

He is a lot better today although a little quiet.

I have awful tonsilitis though which has come on suddenly. My tonsils are covered in green spots. yuck!
