Throat Infection pic included

Hi
I have a white Abcess like thing on my tonsils for the last few months. Doctor gave me antibiotics which didn't do a thing. It then started reducing in size but not much. This morning my GP said he will refer me to ENT. Does anyone has any idea what it is? The doctor could not give any certain answers. Picture included.
I don't have any symptoms, just this weird thing at back of my throat.

its probably a tonsil stone so grim,its like hard lump of pus .

Thanks for the reply. That was my thought after Google search. I never had it before. But the thing is I have poked it with a bud and I can't dislodge it. It is completely covered with a membrane, plus it is reducing in size. Do tonsil stone reduce by themselves?

if nothing has come out maybe something to do with glands as thats also around your tonsils

That doesn't look like a tonsil stone
I have had them a few times
They're not covered in membrane and you can scrape them out
And they stink!!

Looks like tonsillitis to me. I get those at the back of my throat and it's like they are mouth ulcers, really bloody painful too. I get a cotton bud and out bongella on it and wipe that over them. Stings like a mn absolute bastard, but it numbs it for a bit and speeds up the heeling process.

I had one of these for about a year and was convinced it was a tonsil stone. Had a bad throat infection last year and what I thought was a tonsil stone cleared with the antibiotics they gave me for that!

Thanks everyone for taking your time to answer. I had my ENT appointment and the doctor said it looks like a mucous cyst, they will have to scan my sinuses and then decide a possible treatment.
