Past scaphoid fracture

Hello everyone

So i had a past scaphoid fracture, which in the beginning, drs couldnt decide if it was broken or not, so had a hand type brace on and off, more off than on. They changed their minds 4 times.
So during that time i moved it alot.

Now, about 10 months later, im back to it really hurting again, the pain is the same as it was when i first done it.

I haven't re hurt it again, or anything.

Any ideas?
Normal?
Could / would they put it in a cast now, Or way past that point?

Do i just put up with the pain?

Any actual experience of this kind of fracture would be great

Thank you

From my understanding of scaphoid fractures, at this point, if it’s still causing problems, it’s probably past the point that a cast could help and you’d be looking at an operation.

I think you need to go back to the hospital or minor injuries unit that treated you.

With an old fracture you can get arthritis, which is generally achy in the cold.
It sounds like you need to go to the GP and get it re x-rayed to see what’s going on.
