Rectovaginal fistula - TMI

Hi, does anyone have experience of this? Apologies for tmi.

I had dd 16 years ago and needed an episiotomy. Ever since the birth, things have not been the same down there. Apologies for tmi, but if I fart when I sit down or ie down, the wind will often become trapped in my vagina and I'll do a 'fanny fart' when I stand up. I remember mentioning this at my 6 week check up following the birth; the Dr was a trainee, I think and just looked at me Hmm when I mentioned it. After that, I just assumed it just another lovely side effect from child birth. Now I'm beginning to wonder if it might be something to do with my episiotomy after all?

I have recently found out that my kidneys are not functioning as well as possible (waiting for tests on this - have posted about it before) and it occurred to me that silent UTIs might possibly have played a part in this and if the 'fanny farts' could be involved in causing infections? I am never aware that I have urinary infections, but have been told by GPS that there is evidence that I have had them.
