Hi, a close family member has symptoms of Pulmonary Fibrosis, namely breathlessness that has been ongoing for several months, at least since January if not longer. She is an anxious person so did delay seeking medical attention, and saw her GP shortly before all services ceased due to Covid. She has had bloods done in the last week (finally!) and a CXR. Bloods showed slightly raised CRP and ESR (infection markers) and some changes on the xray. She had a telephone consultation today and he mentioned Pulmonary Fibrosis and will see her in the hospital reasonably quickly for a CT scan.
Obviously she is very worried, does anyone know anything about treatment or prognosis?
