Ds is just getting over a cold, but he is left with a tickly cough at night. He is sleeping, but coughing intermittently - is there anything I can do to soothe it for him?

how old is little one? My boy is 16 months and have same problem at the mo. Have put a pillow under his mattress where his head is to prop him up slightly and this seems to help.

Get a bottle of Olbas Oil, leave it with the top off on the windowsill for a while...the fumes soon fill the room, then put the top back on, the oil will stay in the room for ages...this is good for coughs and colds...well, it's worked for my little one...obviously all kids are different but i swear by it...hope this helps...

If you've got your heating on now, humidify - eg wet towel on his radiator.

We use Vick's on the back and chest! My mum swore by it and it really seems to help. If they're not sleeping I give them night-time Benylin too.

Lovely thanks! Have been doing the Olbas Oil but I'll go and humidify now

I use snufflebabe to rub on my little one. That works well for us.
