Ankle injury

Today on our sloped garden I got my foot stuck in a little pothole and fell forward down the hill. My ankle hurt, I cried and it took me a while to get up. It’s really aching tonight, is it possible I’ve broken it even though I can weight beat?

They can ache badly after a sprain but if you're worried I would get it checked out - perhaps see how it is tomorrow. Is it swollen at all?

Yes, it could be broken although it's most likely a sprain.

The only way to tell is an X-ray and you may need to go to A&E.

In the meantime, RICE - rest, ice, elevation and if you're okay with anti-inflammatories, take some.
