Hand fracture concerns

I am unable to contact anyone medical at moment for advice and don't want to go to A&E if not necessary so wondered if anyone medical has advice please?

On Monday I broke my 5th metacarpal, I had an x-ray and was given a splint to wear plus had my two fingers taped together. I am due to go back for another x-ray in two weeks time.
I wasn't given any aftercare advice and at the time I didn't think to ask due to the pain.
I have been getting pins and needles in my wrist today and my hand has a blue tinge. The swelling has gone down quite a bit since Monday though.

I just wondered if this is normal during recovery and whether I should/shouldn't be doing anything particular to aid recovery? (eg: am not sure if I should be elevating my wrist/wearing the splint 24/7?).

No idea if it’s normal but doesn’t sound right. I would go back to a&e.

Thank you for replying, it doesn't seem right but am not sure what is normal, and don't seem to be able to get clarity when I Google it.

I broke my wrist last year and was told any pins and needles/swelling/blueness should be looked at in A&E.

Thank you so much for replying, everything is fine with that now thankfully, and I hope you have made a full recovery from your own injury.
